A Princess Party - That only Princes attended!

We spent a few days between Christmas and New Years and aunt Nancy and uncle Georges Midway House. My Mom and Dad, Theresa and her boys, me and Alexus and Kevin were invited up to relax and enjoy each others company. So Monday morning we were sitting around talking about when we should celebrate Alexus' birthday. I said "it's too bad I didn't bring her presents up with me"..... The rest is history!

Putting on the final touch before her Grand Entrance!

All the princes saluted her as she arrived at the Royal Party

Jace was her escort

She loved her cake!

Such a "pretty kitty"

Alexus was a pretty kitty for halloween

She loved her costume so much we had to buy 2. She wore the first one out!

She loved to get her makeup on and act like a cat.

I would never....

Alexus loves to help in the kitchen. She wants to help make anything that I am making. We decided to make papaw his favorite cake for his birthday.....CHOCOLATE. She helped me make the frosting and then she put the sprinkles on. She could not help herself but to try a little here and there. We both had so much fun!

So Cal Vaca September 14th - 22nd 2008

This was the first night in the Hotel. We stayed at the Hyatt in New Port Beach. Alexus found this Hanna Montana Microphone at Walmart. She sang with it for hours! She had to have her "rock star" glasses on, stand on the "stage" and bounce with her hand on her hip. Too funny!
The first day we went to DisneyLand. It was a great day. Alexus got to meet a whole bunch of Princesses. She met Jasmine, Mulan, Belle, Cinderella and Mini. She was star struck and gitty - she could not believe she got to meet Belle - her favorite princess that day.

Day two of our adventure we moved hotels from New Port Beach to Anehiem. So we went to Laguna Beach for the day. Alexus loves the beach!!
Day three was at California Adventure. All I can say is the day was not a total waste!
Day four was back to Disneyland. We started at Goofy's Kitchen for breakfast. We me lots of characters and Goofy dance with all the kids. Goofy's kitchen is definatly a must at Disneyland. Alexus admiring Belle

This is Alexus, Jace and Trevor posing at Sea Port Village with the bay in the backgroung.

Day five we were on the move again. It was time to head to San Diego! We took our time leaving the hotel in Anaheim and got a little rest. We stayed at the Hyatt right by Sea Port Village. It was a "Grand" hotel! We could walk out the back door and be at Sea Port Village where they have shopping, dining, entertainment you name it. Here is Alexus getting her groove on with the live band.

Day six took us back to Sea World Alexus and I's favorite place on earth! We had Breakfast with Elmo. I'd say it was right up there with California Adventure - Hated it!

Alexus, Jace and I on the Oscar the Grouch ride at Sea world.

Me and Lex feeding the dolphins. We looooovvvveeeee to feed the dolphins! Did I mention Alexus loves to have her face painted? I think we had it painted everyday if not it was still on from the day before because she would not let me wash her face.

Day seven we went to Mission Beach. The plan was to play in the sand a little and ride some rides and go home. However, we could not resist the whole beach thing. We bought all of us a swim suit and everything we needed to hang out for the rest of the day. We should have known better and been more prepared.

A picture says a million words

Alexus and Jace watching Land Before Time While Kim and I pack. Another great trip comes to a close a great time was had by all!

Swimmin' and hikin'

So we went swimming for the first time this summer and the kids had a blast.
Last summer we took the kids swimming a couple times a week
We definitely need to try to go more often. I just need to get over the fact that I look horrible in a swimming suit and go so Alexus can have fun.
We also decided to take the kids on a hike to Dough Nut Falls. We thought it would be good exercise for everyone and it would be something new and different. The kids had a lot of fun Alexus made sure we found our way on the trail in the forest.

Alexus had to be the leader every time Jace would get in front Alexus would run around him. She is so competitive already. She definitely gets that from her daddy. (I'm sorry Jace)
When we got to the Falls we walked through the water and Alexus completely came apart she hated that her sock were wet and she wanted to take them off right thenAlls well that ends well we had so much fun together. When we got back from the hike we had our lunch by the little creek . The kids threw rocks in it and fed the squirrels we took our time and enjoyed the morning.

Scales and Tails at the Library

Theresa is still in town after our trip to Oregon because Royce and Chase have a Lacross camp at BYU . So me and Alexus met Theresa, Cody, Zack, Kim, Jace and Trevor at the library for the scales and tails show. It was a lot of fun and the kids really enjoyed it. Zack was picked to help hold a snake. I think he just wanted to get picked I don't think he really wanted to hold a snake.
Zack holding a snake but kinda freaked out.
Alexus and Jace touching the huge snake
All the kids following the big turtle. He was running for cover under the table. You could tell this was not his first rodeo he knew just where to go to get away from the kids.

Cowgirl Alexus - North Powder July 16 th - 20th

Our entire family except Calvin and James went to see my dads brothers and their families in Oregon. Our parents used to take me and Theresa every summer for our vacation. Every time we went they always had cows to move, doctor or work in one way or another. This time was no exception. When we pulled up at the corral Aunt Leslie had two horses saddled and ready to go for the boys to ride. They got out of the car and rode for a couple hours - until Uncle Dale got there and said there were a couple herds of cows that needed to be moved. So we loaded up 2 four wheelers and 2 horses and off we went. When we arrived at the pasture we had the 2 horses and the 2 four wheelers and the following people - Uncle dale, my dad, Me, Alexus, Theresa, Royce, Chase, Zack, Cody and Kevin. The cows didn't have a chance well really all we had to do was open the gate and the cows just moved pastures on there own. All this with in the first few hour of getting there. And the remaining days were just as busy. I will let the pictures do the talking:

Pa paw and Alexus walking the horse
Alexus and Theresa holding their noses because Alexus says "it stinks"
The gang taking a break and getting something to eat after moving some cattle
Chase, Megan, Alexus (still thinks it stinks) and Sierra under the horse trailer for some shade
Alexus and Pa paw how cuteEveryone watching as the boys try to rope a calfThe kids eating on Uncle Dales deckLindsey, Alexus and Dalee Jo playing the "shampoo game" they would take turns sitting on the balls and pretend to shampoo and style each others hair. They made this up on their own and played for hours. It was so cute
